Conference Day Overview

Students will arrive to the A-State campus on the day of the Financial Wellness Challenge and take over the 3rd floor of our Student Union.

The morning will be split with half of the students taking the test, and half the students participating in our Build on a Budget workshop. Everything is completely run by our college students and staff, so teachers can take a break!

The afternoon will be split with half of the students having lunch in our Acansa Dining Hall – our buffet-style cafeteria at a group rate of $8 per student – and half the students participating in our Reality Fair workshop where they will be assigned a real job with a realistic salary, and the students will make financial decisions based on their budget.

Test Information

In the morning, students will take a 65-question financial wellness test with a time limit of 60 minutes. This test will cover topics like budgeting, saving, earning income, borrowing, investing, and banking.

The top three scoring students will receive a cash prize award. Check out our winners from previous years below!
